Four of the eleven pre-ordered S1000RR bikes arrived today, January 28. It was the first any of us had seen the other colors in person. Very nice. But if one of these bikes is yours, hold your horses. Batteries have to be charged, bikes checked out, etc.

Muddy Ride at Rogue Creek Adventure Camp

Honz and company ventured down to Honz’s Rogue Creek Adventure Camp near Potosi, MO last weekend (January 17 and 18) and came back with muddy bikes! Check out the pictures below. Honz rode the G450 that’s pictured.

Jesse James Bike has Gone Back to California

The bike has been sold to a gentleman in California. Yep, it’s going right back to the state that Honz got it from last Thanksgiving. The new owner flew to St. Louis to ride the bike home to California.

Honz had various parts of his bike painted with pick-up truck bed paint. It looks pretty good. Take a look next time you are at the shop.

Rare Honda Africa Twin XRV 750

Leo traded in his 2000 Honda Africa Twin for the Touratech farkled X Challenge. What’s so special about this bike? This model wasn’t imported to the U.S. so you aren’t going to see any on the road. Leo bought the bike in Europe when it was 5 years old. This isn’t the more rare model with shaft drive; this one is chain drive. Honz wants $11,000.

Chicago International M/C Show Bus Trip

Although BMW will not participate in the Chicago IMS show on February 21, we are taking a bus up again. We had such a great time last year and there was so much interest, we’re repeating the adventure! We have reserved a Cavallo bus and requested the same driver as last year (he was pretty cool!). The bus will arrive at the Gateway BMW shop 5:30 a.m. and leave 6:00 a.m. The bus will also stop in Edwardsville for a pickup at 6:45. Directions to Edwardsville stop is below. We plan to return home by 8:45 p.m. You can bring snacks and drinks – no milk, no glass, no stain producing products. We will stop for breakfast and dinner like we did last year. $55 per person will buy the bus fare and a show ticket. You must prepay and there are no returns on these tickets. There are 56 seats total and seats are going quickly so give us a call at 314-427-9090 and we’ll get you signed up!!

Thanks so much for the support for a successful Holiday Open House! Everyone was socializing with cheer, enjoying the food and sales. Thanks for supporting our toy drive. Honz got this bike from his dad. It’s an R100RS that had a lot of /7 parts on it. Ryan is turning it into a cafe bike for Honz. It’s going to be cool when it’s finished.

Some Interesting Older Bikes for Sale

Check out this partly restored 1962 R60/2. Honz wants $9,000 for it.

This 1983 R80ST has been on the floor for a while. It needs a good home! Mileage is only 34,000 and the price tag is $5,990.

The R80ST comes with all receipts and even brochures.

I saw this R100RS back in service, getting ready to go to the showroom floor. It's certainly a looker! It's got a Luftmeister exhaust on it--good or bad? The Service Department did brake work on it. Cost is $4990.
